Mai Chau Pu Luong 2 days 1 night Tour

Day 1: Take hike to the remote area of Pu Luong Nature Reserve

The guide and driver will take you from Mai Chau to the center of Pu Luong. It takes about 40 minutes before you get off at Hang village to start the tour and explore Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Here you will take a view of the outstreched terraced fields, high mountains, streams running through the fields, take a walk on trails and see the traditional roofs of the Black Thai people, which helps you get more knowledge about their daily lives.

The locals are very friendly and hospitable, thus you can go into the house of the people to drink with them a few cups of tea to talk to them and see the typical stilt architecture of the Thai people. After 3 hours you will move to Kho Muong village for lunch in the people’s houses. In the afternoon, it will be time for you to explore Kho Muong cave where you will admire the sparkling and shimmering stalagmites.

The bus will take you to Pu Luong RiverSide Lodge to have a rest. You will have a chance to take a cooking class or spend some time at the extremely natural swmimming pool.

The Trail In Pu Luong Nature Reserve

Day 2: Take hike from the Lodge to the Waterfall

After breakfast, you will check out, meet your guide and start your trip to Deer waterfall. This waterfall is very famous to the locals because the water is very clean, people often use it for daily activities and to irrigate the fields. To reach this Waterfall, you will walk about 15km through fields, visit the weaving village named “Lan village”, watch the people here to weave cloths with traditional looms.

Then you will go through the water wheels, a great invention of the Thai people to get water for rice fields without making use of human strength. After about 5 hours you will stop at Deer waterfall for lunch. The afternoon will be the nice time for you to have a walk and explore the cascades, each of which has the diversified beauty to try those who like to explore.

Around 4pm, the tour will end, you get on the car and return to Mai Chau. You will arrive in Mai Chau at about 6pm.
