Especially, you will have the chance to discover the culture of the Black Thai people. 2 days is not enough to learn all about a rich and diverse culture but with 2 days tour the guide will introduce to you about Thai cultural traits which give you a better understanding about the cultural life of people here. More specifically, we will take you to a Thai homestay where you can easily meet locals, have a talk, drink tea, interact with them.

Day 1: Hanoi-Pu Luong: Trek to Eo Ken, Kho Muong villages(4 hours)

Depart from your Hanoi hotel at 7:00 and transferring to Hang Village ( 180km ). Off the car  for lunch then off the beaten path, we begin our trek to Hang and Eo Ken and Kho Muong villages. For 4 hours we will trek 8km  through outstanding mountain scenery and picturesque rice paddies, see bamboo forest, Bat Cave and talk with the lovely local people. Spend the night in a local Thai family’s traditional hoúe on stilts in Kho Muong village.

Day 2: Discover Pu Luong Nature Reserve: Trekking to Hieu waterfall  (6 hours)

Trek to Hieu villages (6 hours ~ 15km).The daily life here starts early, it will be interesting for you to get up at the first sign of day light and take part in the activities in the morning, or take a stroll around Don village before having breakfast. Start trekking at 8:00 am. Today we will go for a trek of  approximately 5 to 6 hours. The first section is going dow the hill with some steep climbs and stream crossings. The second stage is glorious with beautiful views of the valley, rice terraces, Handicraft village. Lunch on the way( or at the waterfall of Hieu village) . Arrival in Hieu village is always special as the setting of the village is perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam where you can admire the  miracle waterfall, deer farm, traditional houses, terrace rice fields  on the top of waterfall.

Day 1: Hiking from  Hang Village to Eo Ken Village

After 4-hour drive, you will reach Hang Village (Bản Hang) located in the foothill of Pu Luong mountain. Here, you can enjoy lunch at a Thai family. Afterward, along the path edging the rice fields, you head forward to local farms where Thai people productively grow: vegetables, corn, sweet potatoes… and raise buffaloes, cows, pigs, chickens and ducks.

Through the stream and zigzag paths, does it slowly reveal the majestic rice terraces of Eo Ken Village. This special agricultural structure has existed since Thai ancestors set foot on the land in 14^th century. With stilt house, these two represent the characteristics of Thai culture.

Day 2: Hiking to Hieu Waterfall

The second day will bring you a new perspective on Pu Luong. You will be guided to descend into valley and visit Lan Village. You may travel to some places where villagers pester tourists to buy their souvenirs but in this place, people weave clothes just for local trade. Twice a week, they go to trading session in Pho Doan market to sell products, nevertheless, seldom does solicitation happen.

Then, we visit other rural villages of Thai people, see their daily life up-close, explore the waterwheel – a Thai stunning invention moving water from river to handmade bamboo aqueducts without manpower.

After 4-hour trek, we stop at a homestay in Hieu waterfalls for lunch. After finishing the meal, you can swim, go for a walk or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere. There will be plenty of photo opportunities for you.
